natural tensions with tough decisions
Communities are encouraged to let go of the belief all have to think the same & replace this with accepting the natural tensions of making sound decisions for the best of all

Art of Decision making helps when the burden of the Neighbourhood & local Community decisions are decentralised & spread throughout the population. At least four positive spin-offs occur simultaenously when decentralized decision making is utilized;
1. Populations have a much greater sense of ownership of what is occuring within their own Neighbourhoods & Community.
2. Motivation to help is much greater because of increased levels of responsibility & ownership within their Neighbourhood & local Community
3. Decisions are tailored to the unique needs of each Neighbourhood & Community.
4. Neighbourhood capacity for surviving adverse events is greatly increased!
Also, decentralized decision making starves the inevitable onset of tyrannical rule if power is centralized. We now have the technology to provide each Neighbourhood & local Community much more effective methods of gaining a consensus on the best decision possible for each problem/issue/Decision. For example, https://votenow.nz shows a highly effective alternative decentalized Decision making method where ideas are voted up &/or down in a blog-style forum allowing all involved in the Decision making process to air their view as much or as little as they like while the community vote solutions up &/or down. This type of of Decision making process provides each Neighbourhood & Community with a transparent & real-time way to address any important decisions the group needs to address.

How does it work?

Most Meetings Replaced

step 1

All in the Neighbourhood & local Community have equal chance of input of solutions to problems & this is published for the rest of the group to vote up or down. (An adaptation of the voting system, 'votenow.nz' will be decided upon by the group & set-up in advance)

step 2

After whatever chosen timeframe by the group, the consensus will become clear by the best idea being pushed-up (voted up) by the group.

step 3

Group actions their Decision/s.

step 4

Repeat the process for all Neighbourhood & local Community Decisions.

You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.
